Update

Sorry about the delay everyone, I want to reassure all of the people who played this week that the winners will be announced and given their prizes soon. Unfortunetly I (=OmahaNebraska) have had a slight work emergency so my cash flow is cut short for the last two days. It should be taken care of very very soon.

The next hunt will be announced on the 23rd. This week I will be away tending to personal business, and we may be seeing some new helpers on staff here.

About The Prizes
The first 10 people will be in a drawing of their own, so if you got your answers in early you have a higher chance of winning a prize.

I will also be giving out ANOTHER 1 month sub for everyone with correct answers, so that will include people from the first 10 as well as everyone who answered later.

-What is *dA-Scavenger-Hunt?

da-scavenger-hunt is is a community game that was created to expose members of dA to the seniors and staff, all while they have fun and get rewarded along the way. Figure out the clues, search senior and staff members pages, and solve our riddles to earn prizes! For more information read our How to Play journal.



-Why did you create *dA-Scavenger-Hunt?

Our mission here at *dA-Scavenger-Hunt is to unite the members of deviantART. If you post often in the forums you have probably seen people complain about how the people with the "magic" symbols get special attention, are scary, stuck up, or just too busy for the common user. This is far from true. By playing the scavenger hunt you will get the chance to interact with the leaders of the site while earning fun prizes and having a lot of fun. Who knows, maybe you'll find new friends and beautiful art to and comment along the way!



-Who runs *dA-Scavenger-Hunt?

The game is in the caring hands of =nokari, =OmahaNebraska, and =tori-margaret. We are behind the scenes thinking of new riddles, clues, and prizes to give you guys.



-Who can play the scavenger hunt?

This game is open to EVERYONE. We do not care if your username is prefaced by a ~, `, or $. Artists of all mediums, genres, and levels of experience are encouraged to participate.



-I don't understand how this works!

Please read our How to Play journal. If that does not answer your question please feel free to send us a note at this account. We will get back to you as soon as possible. If you think the clues/riddles are too hard or easy, let us know as well. We want things to be challenging, but not impossible to figure out



-When is the next round/Hunt?

Please check our WHAT'S NEW journal for the current game schedule.



-What if I win something I already have or don't want?

In the case that you win a prize but don't want it you may donate it to a different person here on deviantart - just let us know! We will happily transfer it to them



-Do you accept Affiliates?

YES! Even though we are not a club, we do accept affiliates. We need all the help we can get in spreading the word that we are here. If your club would like to be be linked in our journal please send this account a note with the subject reading AFFILIATE.



-What can I do to help? Can I join your team?

Do you think we've left something out, or would like something changed? Feel free to note us with any concerns

How to Play:

Every Friday will start a new hunt, and we will update our journal with a starting clue. This clue will lead you to a deviants page where you will find a riddle. Solve the riddle to find the next deviant until you have reached the clue that says you have finished!

When you have reached the last deviants page you must note us your answers. Please Title your note "Scavenger Hunt Answers" and in the body of the note provide us with the screen names of the 3 deviants you were led to.

Remember, clues can be hidden anywhere on a deviants page. You will need to check all of the nooks and crannies.

After the hunt is complete we will take the first 10 deviants to note us with the correct answers and enter them into a random drawing for the prize.

At the end of the month the 10 finalists from each week will be entered into an even larger drawing. Three names will be drawn and recieve the 'grand prizes' which will be announced towards the end of the month.

This method of determining a winner will give everyone a chance, and remember, the more you play, the more likely you are to win that grand prize!

Prizes will vary from Journal and News Features, Free subscriptions, Prints, Avatars, Commissions and stock packs. You may donate any and all of your prizes to another deviant if you would prefer. If you would like to donate a prize to *dA-Scavenger-Hunt please read our HELP journal.

However, to win any of our prizes you MUST comply with the official *dA-Scavenger-Hunt rules!

Official *dA-Scavenger-Hunt rules

*To win a prize you must comply with each of these rules*

1) Participants must have *dA-Scavenger-Hunt linked in their signature OR in their journal.

2) You must add *dA-Scavenger-Hunt to your watchlist. Any important updates and announcements will be made through our journals, this way you immediately are notified of any important information related to the hunt.

3) No Sharing answers. This is hard to police, so we are mostly going off the honor system here folks. Please be respectful and do not share your answers with each other, it spoils the fun!
